Job summary

Deutsche Post in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a logistics officer to support daily booking and planning, prepare MAWB lists, and coordinate with CSSV, carriers, and departments to move shipments profitably.

You will assist the booking supervisor, ensure timely updates to airline systems, and help the commercial team secure competitive rates while maintaining accuracy and teamwork under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist booking supervisor in daily booking and planning.
• Coordinate with CSSV for final loads confirmation.
• Ensure MAWB lists updated and loads dispatched timely.
• Consolidate loads to minimise cost and maximise profitability.
• Prepare flight matrices and weekly CV EQ reports.
• Support department head with additional duties.

Summary

• Perform daily booking & planning, preparation of allotment & BSA pre-booking. Booking & planning by region & work closely with customer service, operation & others related depts. Communication/negotiation with carriers for capacity & better buying. Be responsible to ensure shipment move with profitability. Support commercial team on the rates enquiry & obtain good rates from carriers.

Key Tasks

• To assist booking supervisor in daily booking and planning function
• To work closely with CSSV for final loads confirmation
• To ensure final loads update to airline on time
• To ensure timely issuance of Load Planning List
• To prioritise load dispatch as per guidelines set by shipper
• To prepare allotment MAWB LISTS to shipper
• To consolidate and plan load dispatches at minimum cost and maximise profitability
• To perform any other functions assigned by superior
• To prepare flight matrix when requested
• To ensure MAWB LISTS is being updated on weekly basis
• To monitor & prepare CV EQ report
• To supply/perform any other function assigned by Department Head

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or related field
• Good communication skill is required
• Able to work as a team & back up each other when is needed
