Job summary

SK8 Engineering in Malaysia seeks engineers to develop after-sales services through annual maintenance contracts, preventive and corrective maintenance, spare parts, refurbishments, retrofits and upgrades. You will identify opportunities in existing accounts to grow recurring revenue and perform site inspections to tailor service solutions.

Regular customer visits and technical documentation preparation are essential, as is coordinating with Engineering and Service teams to meet SLAs and support

Qualifications

• Strong customer service, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, planning and organisational skills.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with mission-critical facilities and 24/7 service operations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand the after-sales business through AMC, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, spare parts, refurbishment, retrofit and upgrades.
• Identify opportunities within existing customer accounts to increase recurring service revenue.
• Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational challenges and recommend service solutions.
• Prepare service proposals, maintenance contracts, quotations and technical documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and technical assessments to identify maintenance requirements.
• Recommend appropriate service solutions based on equipment condition and operational requirements.
• Review customer specifications and provide technical clarifications.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Service teams to develop practical maintenance solutions.
• Monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with SLAs.
• Support emergency breakdown response and customer escalation when required.
• Ensure proper documentation of service reports, inspection findings and recommendations.
• Promote genuine spare parts, replacement components, and lifecycle management solutions.
• Maintain regular communication with customers regarding maintenance schedules and service recommendations.
• Support marketing initiatives, customer seminars, and technical presentations.

Competencies Requirements (Education, Training and Experience):

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduates with a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering disciplines are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with mission-critical facilities and 24/7 service operations is an advantage.
• Good understanding of generator enclosure systems, diesel generator support systems, mechanical and electrical equipment, HVAC and ventilation systems, acoustic enclosures, fuel systems, and preventive & corrective maintenance.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Good command of Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking customers, suppliers, and business partners.
