Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Service & Tendering specialist to drive tendering exercises, coordinate project delivery, and maintain strong relationships with oil and gas clients. You will oversee procurement, interfacing with principals, and monitor project costs and scheduling to ensure on-time delivery.

You will engage in plant shutdown activities, address customer issues, and support service sales initiatives while ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; Mechanical/Electrical preferred.
• At least 3 years’ experience with internal combustion engines and rotating equipment.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience in sales, client management, proposals and growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead tendering activities and prepare package proposals.

Responsible in overall tendering exercise and project implementation.

Responsible in preparation of package proposals, execution of the purchase orders, monitoring of projects progress and schedule of delivery, co-ordinate flow of project information between the principals and clients, interfacing with the principals’ representative and the fabricators during the installation of the equipment.

Maintain customer relations with key customer s in Oil and Gas Industry.

Evaluate and manage resources at site service projects.

Address customer’s issues and complaints.

Follow-up with customer and vendor in completing service work.

Participate in Plant Shutdown activities.

Monitoring payment schedule, invoicing and liaise with Account Department on project payment transactions.

To collect competitive information and to conduct lost sales analysis.

To plan and formulate strategy to improve rate of success in future tender bids.

To oversee, plan, organize and monitor all the branch operations especially for the Sapura Energy, Carigali-PTTEPI, FPSO, Petrofac and others for CAT Maintenance Contracts in term of revenue generated and contract costing in order to ensure the desired profits are achieved.

Responsible for achieving sectional service revenue within budgeted cost by regularly monitoring computerized service reports, improve service invoicing trend, ensure economic usage of spare parts, manpower etc., to minimize job costs in order to achieve budgeted gross profit.

Work closely with customer & TPS Service Head to planned downtime to Existing customers’ Contract regularly, in order to maintain good relationship and solicit more service jobs.

Contact and advise customer on technical problems and attend to their complaint promptly.

Assist Parts Service Sales Representative in promoting of Service Sales Programs and Product Support Programs, e.g. SOS, Engine Flat rate/ TMR Repair Package, Remanufacturing Parts, Parts Exchange.

To work closely with Service Head for establish Equipment machine repair history for reference.

Keep abreast of product development and other relevant advances and continuously develop abilities and skills.

Ensures a continued improvement in our services acceptance to customers by planning and implementing quality policies, monitor, and control turnaround time and cost effectiveness.

Service accounting warranty and equipment monitoring.

Review WIP Ageing and ensure all WIP jobs are kept to minimum.

Ensure all jobs are invoiced as soon as possible after the last date of last labour.

Monitor and continue improving the invoicing trend.

To provide prompt response to customer to ensure all alerts been resolved and inform to customer accordingly.

Job Requirements

Degree in any engineering disciplines with Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred.

Minimum 3 years of working experience in internal combustion engine, rotating equipment (engine, pump, turbine, compressor, fans and blowers, electric motors, gearboxes) and electrical & instrumentation.

Ability to communicate technically and efficiently to all levels of service staffs, customers and product principals.

Has good product knowledge and technical skills to organize and support oil and gas industry products.

Demonstrated knowledge or experience in sales, including client relationship management, proposal development, and business growth support.
