Job summary

Bradken Casting (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an After-Hours Supervisor to act as the on-site decision-maker, ensuring a safe, seamless production flow from melting to finishing. You will drive efficiency, address bottlenecks, and coordinate with quality teams to meet targets while minimising downtime.

The role requires leadership of a heavy industry cross-functional team, shift work, and a strong focus on safety and ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

  • Degree/ Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • Experience in managing big cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in heavy industry manufacturing.
  • Able to work on shift and in rotation.
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the on-site decision-maker ensuring safe, seamless production flow from melting through finishing.
  • Focus on optimising bottlenecks and collaborating with quality teams to meet targets while minimising downtime.
  • Directly oversee production teams, including operators and maintenance, with clear task assignments and effective shift handovers.
  • Proactively monitor critical equipment, coordinate maintenance, manage resources and materials handling to sustain production and minimise waste.

What'sthe Role:

As anAfter-HoursSupervisor, you willact as theon-site decision-maker, ensuring a safe, seamless, and efficient production flow from melting through to finishing. You will focus onoptimisingbottlenecks, collaborating closely with quality teams, and proactively addressing issues to consistently meet targets whileminimisingdowntime. Your role will becentredon driving efficiency across all core foundry operations.
Your constant presence will guarantee strict adherence to all safety and environmental regulations. Through proactive inspections, PPE enforcement, and immediate incident response, you will cultivate a zero-tolerance environment for hazards, prioritising the well-being of your team and preventing violations.
You will directly oversee and support your production team, including operators and maintenance. By ensuring clear task assignments, resolving conflicts effectively, andfacilitatingseamless shift handovers, you willmaintainhigh productivity, engagement, and a collaborative work environment.
You willbe responsible forthe proactive monitoring of all critical equipment,identifyingpotential issues before they cause disruptions.You'llcoordinate maintenance, manage essential resources, and oversee material handling to ensure continuous, efficient production andminimisewaste.
Key Technical Criteria:

Degree/Diploma in Industrial Engineering/Metallurgy/Materials Engineering/Manufacturing

Demonstrated experience in managing big cross-functional teams

Experience in heavy industry manufacturing

Able to work on shift, in rotation

Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and familiarity with ISO 9001 standards
