Job summary

Legion Extruder Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian manufacturer of extrusion machinery, seeks an experienced Accountant to manage AR, ledger tasks, and maintain client/vendor communications. The role emphasizes strong financial controls and collaboration with auditors and bankers.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting with 5+ years in manufacturing accounting and proficiency in SQL Accounting Software and MS Office. Strong Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficient with SQL Accounting Software and MS Office.
• Strong Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia language skills.
• Mandarin-speaking candidates strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable functions in accordance with company policies and financial guidelines.
• Perform general office administration tasks including filing, data entry, handling calls, and processing mail.
• Build and maintain professional communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Proactively monitor and follow up on overdue customer payments to ensure effective credit control management.
• Liaise with Auditors, Tax Agents, and Bankers for financial processes.
• Prepare year-end closing management accounts to support audit readiness.
