Job summary

KUS Building Supplies Sdn Bhd, established in 2010, seeks an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations. The role focuses on financial reporting, cash-flow management, budgeting, and statutory compliance, while supervising the Accounts team to ensure timely and accurate activities.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Minimum five years of relevant accounting or finance experience, including supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of full-set accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation and audit requirements.
• Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards and statutory compliance.
• Experience using ERP or accounting systems; knowledge of Oracle NetSuite or SQL Accounting is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and able to work independently under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, accruals and financial adjustments.
• Monitor company cash flow, banking transactions, payment schedules and customer collections.
• Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, variance analyses and management reports.
• Review accounting transactions and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, tax requirements and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and relevant authorities.
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting procedures and workflows.
• Lead, guide and monitor the performance of the Accounts team.
