Job summary

KUEK & KUEH PACKAGING INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will oversee the general ledger, coordinate with auditors, and drive process improvements while mentoring junior staff. The role requires strong MPERs knowledge, proficiency with Sage UBS, and a collaborative mindset to work across finance, billing, and store departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA/ACCA/MIA certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong knowledge of MPERs and related financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage UBS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with MPERs & IFRS.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Maintain the general ledger and oversee the reconciliation of accounts.
• Monitor and analyze accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain necessary financial information.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting and track budget performance.
• Provide variance analysis and recommendations for cost control and process improvement.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure timely tax filings.
• Forecast cash needs and coordinate with treasury functions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
