ACCA Careers in Malaysia is seeking an Account Executive to manage full sets of accounts for construction and property development projects. You will handle project-specific billing, reconciliations, and monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and on-time reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related qualification (ACCA/ICAEW/CPA welcomed). Proficiency in Excel and general accounting software, strong numerical accuracy, and good communication are essential.

• Manage full sets of accounts for construction and property projects, ensuring accurate and timely entries.

• Perform regular account reconciliations including bank reconciliations and debtor/creditor analyses.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, project cash flow forecasts and budget variance analyses.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial parties for statutory compliance.

Job description

We Are Looking For An Account Executive Which Can

• Manage full sets of accounts for construction and property development projects, ensuring accurate and timely entries for general ledgers, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Handle project-specific billing, progress billings, retention sums, subcontractor claims and payment certifications.
• Perform regular account reconciliations including bank reconciliations, debtor aging analysis and creditor statement tracking.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, project cash flow forecasts and variance analysis against project budgets.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory accounting standards and tax regulations and coordinate smoothly with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial parties.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, CPA).
• Candidates with relevant working experience in the construction, property development or contracting industry will have an added advantage. Since, we are a Steel Construction Company, we would prefer someone who has brief experience in the construction sector.
• Good knowledge of computerised accounting systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Microsoft Excel).
• Strong numerical accuracy, close attention to detail and sound analytical and organisational capabilities.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage tight reporting deadlines and work collaboratively across departments.

Working Hours: 8-5pm (Monday to Friday)
