Job summary

Responsibilities

• Ensure SST, E-Invoice, statutory payments and regulatory compliance.
• Process journal entries, invoices, vouchers, debit notes and credit notes.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and government authorities.

Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the full spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirement and supporting the company's financial operations.

Key responsibilities

Handle the full set of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and Bank Reconciliation

Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and financial analysis

Monitor company cash flow, budgeting and forecasting activities

Ensure timely submission of SST, E-Invoice, statutory payments, and other regulatory requirements

Prepare and review journal entries, invoices, payment vouchers, debit notes and credit notes

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing

Monitor Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions

Review and verify accounting entries, staff claims, supplier invoices and supporting documents

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, government authorities and external parties

Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting and financial records

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience

Experience in handling full set of accounts is preferred

Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, SST, E-Invoice, EPF, SOCSO, EIS and statutory compliance

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

Able to work independently with minimum supervision

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage
