JJA Glass Sdn Bhd is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Executive to manage the company’s day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate, timely financial records. This is a hands-on full-set accounting role covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, month-end closing and coordination with external parties.
Mandarin is mandatory because the successful candidate will communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients or business associates. Mandarin-speaking candidates with relevant full-set accounting experience are encouraged to apply.
Handle the full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
Record daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
Perform bank, balance-sheet and subsidiary-ledger reconciliations.
Prepare monthly management reports, profit and loss statements and balance-sheet schedules.
Support month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, prepayments and account schedules.
Monitor customer balances, follow up on outstanding invoices and support payment processing.
Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, bankers and relevant authorities.
Support SST, LHDN-related submissions and e-Invoicing requirements, where applicable to the business.
Maintain an organised filing system and ensure accounting records are complete and audit-ready.
Support payroll-related submissions such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB if this is included in the role scope.
Provide accurate accounting information and respond to internal queries in a timely manner.
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience handling a full set of accounts.
Experience in an SME, trading, distribution, manufacturing or similar environment is an advantage.
Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
Experience with SQL Accounting, AutoCount, QuickBooks, MYOB or a similar accounting system.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic functions, filtering and reconciliation work.
Familiarity with Malaysian accounting and statutory requirements, including SST and e-Invoicing where relevant.
Mandarin is mandatory for work-related communication. Please confirm whether spoken Mandarin only or both spoken and written Mandarin are required.
Bahasa Malaysia and English are required for local authorities, documentation and day-to-day business communication.
