Job summary

Media Art Advertising Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accounts Executive (AP & AR) to join the Finance team in Subang Jaya. You will support AP/AR, assist with payments, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities.

You will work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure accurate financial records. Qualifications include a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and AP/AR processes.
• Familiarity with Excel and accounting software is an advantage.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accounts Executive (AP & AR) to join our Finance team. You will support the day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, assist with payment processing and bank reconciliations, and contribute to monthly financial closing activities. You will work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and processed on time.

Key responsibilities

Handle daily supplier invoices, verify bills and supporting documents, record transactions, and maintain accurate accounts payable records

Reconcile supplier statements, follow up on discrepancies and outstanding invoices, and prepare payment schedules and supporting documents for approval

Assist with customer invoicing, recording payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up on overdue payments when required

Monitor daily bank balances, maintain records of cash inflows and outflows, and assist with cash flow monitoring and projections

Assist with bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and complete

Support monthly closing activities, including general ledger (GL) postings, journal entries, and preparation of accounting schedules

Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents, and assist with audit requests and other financial reporting requirements

Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and customers on accounting matters, and perform other finance-related duties as assigned

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

1 to 3 years of relevant accounting experiences.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and AP/AR processes

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and accounting software is an advantage

Good attention to detail, organizational skills, and a responsible working attitude

Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to learn, take initiative, and meet deadlines
