Job summary

UMR Strategic in Subang Jaya is seeking an Account Executive to join the finance and accounting team. You will manage the full set of accounts, support month-end and year-end closing, and perform financial analysis and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of the company’s financial records.

The role covers product costing, budgeting, cash flow management and producing financial reports, offering exposure to the company's accounting and financial operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience preferred; strong full-set accounting experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Familiarity with month-end closing, financial reporting, bank reconciliation and budgeting.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with accounting software.
• Good organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and related accounting functions.
• Ensure all accounting transactions are recorded accurately and completed in a timely manner, especially during month-end closing.
• Prepare and process accounting entries, including receipts, payments, purchases, sales, journal entries and other financial transactions.
• Perform regular reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts, expenses, revenues and other financial accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, management reports, budgets, financial analysis and other reports as required by management.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring cash flow forecasts and monthly budgets.
• Review accounting records and supporting documents to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure financial information is properly maintained.

• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin will be an advantage.
