Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Account Executive to manage day-to-day financial operations and support full-set accounting. The role requires independence, multitasking, and a growth-oriented attitude within a stable environment.

You will oversee AP, AR, and GL, prepare monthly reports, assist in month-end/year-end processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification (LCCI / ACCA foundation / equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Ability to handle full-set accounts independently and meet reporting deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with accounting software (SQL, AutoCount, Million, UBS or SAP) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Full-Set Management: Independently manage the full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL).
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and support month-end/year-end closing.
• Daily Operations: Oversee daily accounting functions, data entry, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.

• Documentation: Maintain orderly filing of accounting and financial records for audit readiness.
• Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant financial operations.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, management accounts, and support month-end/year-end closing processes.
• Daily Operations: Oversee daily accounting functions, accurate data entry, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
• Compliance & Audit: Assist in preparing schedules and documentation for external audits, corporate tax filing, and statutory compliance matters.
• Documentation: Maintain systematic, organized, and complete filing of all accounting and financial records for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional team members to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant financial operations.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification (LCCI / ACCA foundation / equivalent).
• Technical Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
