Job summary

PREMIER VALVE SDN BHD is seeking an Account Executive to join its finance and accounting team in Selangor. The role oversees the full set of accounts, supports month-end and year-end closings, and performs financial analysis, budgeting, and product costing while ensuring accuracy of records.

Requirements include a Diploma or Bachelor’s in accounting or finance, 2–4 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently as well as with other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full set of accounts including AP/AR and GL.
  • Assist month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
  • Perform product costing and cost analysis.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of records.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and budgeting activities.
  • Maintain accounting records in compliance with policies.

We are seeking a Account Executive to join our finance and accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full set of accounts, supporting month-end and year-end closing, performing financial analysis and reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This role also involves product costing, budgeting, cash flow management and financial reporting, with opportunities to gain comprehensive exposure to the company's accounting and financial operations.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage the full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and related accounting functions.
  • Ensure all accounting transactions are accurately recorded and completed in a timely manner, particularly during month-end closing.
  • Prepare and process accounting entries, including receipts, payments, purchases, sales, journal entries and other financial transactions.
  • Perform regular reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts, expenses, revenues and other financial accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, management reports, budgets, financial analysis and other reports as required by management.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring cash flow forecasts and monthly budgets.
  • Perform product costing and cost analysis, ensuring accurate allocation and calculation of product costs.
  • Review accounting records and supporting documents to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure financial information is properly maintained.
  • Develop proficiency in and effectively utilize the company's accounting / financial management system.
About you
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Preferably 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience; candidates with strong full-set accounting experience will be considered favorably.
  • Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Experience in handling full sets of accounts is preferred.
  • Familiarity with month-end closing, financial reporting, bank reconciliation and budgeting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with accounting software.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to the company's accounting system.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with other departments.

Competitive salary: RM4,500 – RM5,500, depending on experience and qualifications.

Monday to Friday working schedule.
