Job summary

Cellini Design Center Sdn Bhd in Malaysia invites an entry-level accounts candidate to join our finance team. The role covers accounts receivable, payable, and general accounting tasks, with focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. You will work under supervision, use accounting software and MS Office, and have opportunities for development and promotion as part of a growing regional retailer with 50 stores.

Qualifications

• Possess at least an LCCI Certificate in Accounting or diploma/degree in accounting.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply and train on the job.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile customer payments for AR transactions.
• Compile, trace, and record customer payments accurately.
• Maintain and update sales records and customer data in the system.
• Review and ensure accuracy of customer records; resolve discrepancies.
• Process supplier invoices and match with POs/GRNs for AP.
• Prepare daily collection reports and monthly financial statements.

Job description

Accounts Receivable

• Record and reconcile customer payments against AR transactions.
• Trace, compile, and accurately record customer payments.
• Maintain and update sales records.
• Review and ensure accuracy of customer records in the system.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and prepare AR reports.

Accounts Payable

• Compile and process supplier invoices, ensuring proper matching with POs/GRNs.
• Prepare payment schedules and ensure timely settlement of payables.
• Reconcile supplier statements and process expense claims.

General Accounting

• Calculate sales and delivery commissions and incentives.
• Handle full set of accounts, including general ledger functions (depreciation, ROU, accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, debtors and creditors statements).
• Prepare daily collection reports and weekly cash position reports.
• Prepare monthly financial statements: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow/Cash Position reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial and sales records.
• Undertake ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Possess at least an LCCI Certificate in Accounting, Diploma, or Degree in Accounting (LCCI, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
