Job summary

Grand Oriental Enterprise (Melaka) Sdn Bhd is seeking a qualified Accountant in Melaka to manage day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and treasury functions. You will handle full-set accounts, prepare statements and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires proficiency in e-invoicing, liaising with auditors and tax agents, and strong Mandarin and English communication. Salary ranges RM3,800–RM4,800 with EPF, SOCSO and annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in accounting roles.
• Proficient in full-set accounting & financial reporting standards.
• Familiar with accounting software (SQL and AutoCount) and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations, e-invoicing frameworks & compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational & communication skills; able to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English (Mandarin preferred).

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day accounting functions; prepare & update payment list.
• Manage full-set accounts: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end/year-end closing.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements & cash flow statements.
• Reconcile bank statements; monitor cash flow & treasury management.
• Maintain fixed asset registers & depreciation accounting.
• Ensure compliance with local standards, tax regulations & company act.
• Implement & manage e-invoicing systems per regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents & external stakeholders for audits.

Job description

Ø To perform day to day accounting functions/ prepare & update payment list.

Ø Manage full-set accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end/year-end closing.

Ø Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Ø Reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow, and ensure accuracy in treasury management.

Ø Maintain fixed asset registers and perform depreciation accounting.

Ø Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulation and company act.

Ø Implement and manage e-invoicing systems in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Ø Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders for audits and assessments

Ø To undertake all other duties and responsibilities s instructed by the Director.

REQUIREMENT

• Ø Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Ø At least 3-5 years in accounting roles.
• Ø Proficient in full-set accounting and financial reporting standards.
• Ø Familiar with accounting software (e.g., SQLand Autocount) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ø Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations, compliance requirements, and e-invoicing frameworks.
• Ø Strong analytical, organizational, communication skills, and able to work under pressure.
• Ø Proficiency in Mandarin and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Ø Salary: RM3,800 - RM4,800 (Depend on experience)
