Job summary

Camwell Sdn. Bhd., a leader in sheet metal manufacturing in Malaysia, seeks a detail-oriented Account Executive reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager. You will lead an accounting team, oversee AP and inventory, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

You will manage month-end closes, prepare compliance reports, support tax activities, post journals, perform reconciliations, and advise operations on efficient processes to strengthen controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 5 years in general and/or financial accounting.
• Experience in manufacturing sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Account Officers in AP and inventory management.
• Manage monthly and quarterly period-end closings.
• Prepare compliance reporting for corporate and statutory bodies.
• Assist in Malaysian corporate tax and WHT.
• Post journals and reconcile balance sheets.
• Advise operational departments on accounting processes.
• Oversee recording of financial transactions and inventory accounting.

Join our team as an Account Executive, reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping our financial processes while leading a dedicated accounting team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision: Lead and mentor Account Officers focused on Accounts Payable (AP) and inventory management, ensuring excellence in financial reporting and compliance.
• Financial Closing: Manage monthly and quarterly period-end closing processes, including accrual accounting and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Compliance Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate corporate and statutory compliance reporting.
• Tax Support: Assist in Malaysian tax compliance for Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax (WHT), and collaborate with external auditors as required.
• Accounting Operations: Prepare and post accounting journals, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and conduct fluctuation analysis.
• Problem Solving: Act as a trusted advisor on accounting processes for operational departments, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Transaction Oversight: Coordinate accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Inventory Management: Oversee and monitor inventory accounting practices, collaborating with operations to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.

Experience:

5 years in general and/or financial accounting, preferably within the manufacturing sector.

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
• Proven capability to recommend and implement process improvements.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., AutoCount Accounting System) and ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective presentations to peers and management.
