The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing the full spectrum of daily accounting operations, including handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements such as SST, EPF, SOCSO, and income tax filings. The Accounts Executive will also support month-end closing activities, assist with budget preparation, and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of Malaysian accounting standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Handle full set of accounts: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), specifically in the manufacturing sector.
Check and sort incoming emails; label and file them into the appropriate folders; print when necessary.
Update invoice records, including logging received invoices into the "Invoice Pending Payment" register.
Update and reconcile payments made and received in both the Invoice Pending Payment (AP/AR) registers and the Accounting Cash Book.
Manage daily accounting activities including data entry, invoicing, payments, and receipts.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor company cash flow.
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and forecast profit & loss statements.
Compile and organize accounting documents for month-end closing.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate statutory filings (SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, income tax).
Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Prepare tax computation and coordinate with consultants for accounts closing.
Fixed assets management that compliant with accounting standards:Capitalization, Depreciation, Physical records matching to the accounting system records.
Inventory management: Record, control and reflected in financial statements.
Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, LHDN, and SSM.
Support process improvement initiatives and participate in system implementation where required.
Handle ad-hoc projects as needed, including administrative tasks.
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Good understanding on Malaysian financial regulations and tax laws
Familiar with accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, UBS, QuickBooks)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage for dealing with regional clients or suppliers)
Able to work independently and meet deadlines
