Job summary

MEDLOG MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Penang is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to manage invoicing, payments, and ledger reconciliation with accuracy and timeliness.

You will prepare bills for trucking and warehousing services, chase overdue invoices, and support monthly statements. The role requires strong numerical/data-entry skills and bilingual communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Business Studies, Management, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in an accounts receivable role.
• Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles and collection regulations.
• Strong numerical and data-entry skills with spreadsheet proficiency.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Immediate availability preferred; fresh graduates may apply.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts and incoming payments according to policies.
• Handle daily accounts receivable transactions including verification, posting, and data recording.
• Prepare bills, invoices, and bank transactions.
• Reconcile AR ledger and investigate discrepancies.
• Follow up on overdue invoices and reminders.
• Prepare financial statements and AR reports.
• Review delivery orders and related documents for accurate billing.

Job description

• Process accounts and incoming payments in accordance with financial policies and procedures.
• Handle daily accounts receivable transactions, including verification, classification, calculation, posting, and data recording.
• Prepare bills, invoices, and bank transactions.
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accurately recorded and posted.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve client billing issues.
• Follow up on overdue invoices by sending reminders and contacting clients.
• Prepare financial statements and reports on accounts receivable status.
• Prepare and issue accurate, timely invoices for trucking, transportation, warehousing, and related logistics services.
• Review delivery orders, job sheets, warehouse reports, and supporting documents to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition.
• Monitor and reconcile receivables for trucking and warehousing customers, including following up on outstanding payments.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in Business Studies, Management, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in an accounts receivable role.
• Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
• Strong numerical and data-entry skills, with hands-on experience using spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with good communication and time-management skills.
• Customer-focused, highly accurate, and attentive to detail.
