Job summary

Hong Heng Group of Companies is seeking an Account Executive to drive improvements in our accounting processes and SOPs. You will oversee daily accounting operations, prepare management reports, and support audits while ensuring compliance with MFRS/IFRS and SST guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in accounting or admin roles, proficiency in ERP software and MS Office, and a Diploma in Accounting or related field. Flexible hours and a supportive team await.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in accounting or administrative roles.
• Proficient in accounting ERP software, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including billing, receivable, data entry, and general ledger management.
• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Ensure all financial records comply with policies, internal controls, and relevant accounting standards (e.g. MFRS/IFRS).
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, and other stakeholders on financial matters.
• Support audit exercises by providing accurate documentation and responding to queries.
• Maintain proper filing system and accounting documentation for audit trails.
• Manage ad-hoc finance projects, process improvements, and reporting as required by management.
• Possess working knowledge of Malaysian taxation, including SST and e-invoice matters.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experiencedAccount Executive who is proactive in driving improvements, capable of developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and committed to building a more structured and systematic logistics operation. This role is ideal for someone who is not only experienced in logistics but also passionate about making processes better, more efficient, and more consistent.

What you'll be doing

Oversee and manage daily accounting operations including full spectrum of billing and receivable, data entry, and general ledger management.

Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.

Lead and coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.

Ensure all financial records and documentation comply with company policies, internal controls, and relevant accounting standards (e.g. MFRS/IFRS).

Act as a liaison with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, and other stakeholders on financial and compliance matters.

Support audit exercises by providing accurate and complete documentation, and responding to audit queries.

Maintain proper filing system and accounting documentation to support audit trail and regulatory compliance.

Manage ad-hoc finance and accounting projects, process improvements, and reporting as required by management.

Possess working knowledge of Malaysian taxation, including SST, and e-invoice related matters.

What we’re looking for
