Job summary

Messrs Murad & Foo, an established legal firm in Georgetown, Penang, invites suitable candidates to join the team as an entry-level accounting assistant.

You will perform general admin and basic accounting duties, assist in month-end closing, reconciliations, and the preparation of Balance Sheets and P&L statements. Training will be provided to help you learn the full set of accounts.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or equivalent required.
• Proficient in basic computer applications.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Willing to learn and be meticulous.

Responsibilities

• Perform general administrative and basic accounting duties.
• Handle day-to-day accounting functions, including payment processing, invoices, official receipts and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in month-end closing and preparation of accounts.
• Assist in maintaining accounting records and preparing Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
• Learn to manage a full set of accounts.
