Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an entry-level accounting assistant to support day-to-day financial operations in our Penang facility. You will handle data entry, filing, and documentation to keep records accurate and compliant.

In this role you will process supplier invoices, vouchers, receipts and journal entries, while assisting with AP/AR functions, bank reconciliations and monthly close tasks. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Diploma in Accounting/Finance/LCCI or equivalent.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and double-entry system.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
Responsible and able to handle confidential financial information.

Responsibilities

Assist in day-to-day accounting operations including data entry, filing and documentation.
Prepare and process supplier invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and journal entries.
Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
Perform bank reconciliation, petty cash management and monthly close activities.
Assist in preparing financial reports, statements and schedules for management review.
Maintain filing and record-keeping of all accounting documents.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other external parties when required.
Ensure all accounting tasks comply with company policies and accounting standards.
Perform other ad-hoc administrative and accounting duties as assigned by the superior.
