Job summary

The Barbecue Plaza (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a finance associate to handle day-to-day financial transactions, accounts receivable, and data entry to support accurate records and reporting.

You will liaise with stores to resolve discrepancies, file documents, and ensure data in the HQ system is consistent for reporting and analysis. Proficiency in Excel and Word is preferred.

Job description

A finance role involving day-to-day financial transactions, accounts receivable management, and data entry to support accurate financial record-keeping and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day financial transactions including verifying, cross-checking, and matching records pertaining to Accounts Receivable (AR) such as daily collections, e-wallets, and credit cards
• Liaise and communicate with stores on discrepancies, if any, to ensure accuracy in financial recordsFile documents including POS receipts and general clerical work to maintain organized and efficient records
• Routine data entry tasks into the accounting system to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Ensure sales data from stores are synchronized with the HQ system for accurate reporting and analysis

About you

• Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of financial principles and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders
• Prior experience with accounting software is a plus
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
