Qualifications

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent practical accounting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices relevant to the accounting industry.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members.
• The ability to work independently whilst contributing collaboratively within a team environment.
• Reliability, integrity and a professional approach to confidential financial information.
• Preferred experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or general bookkeeping functions.
• Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Processing and recording financial transactions accurately in the accounting system
• Assisting with the preparation of financial documents, including invoices, receipts and payment vouchers
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including reconciliation and follow-up on outstanding payments
• Supporting the reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Filing and organising financial documents and records in a systematic manner
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Processing payroll information and supporting payroll administration
• Performing general administrative duties to support the accounting team
• Liaising with internal departments and external parties regarding financial matters
• Assisting with audit preparations and providing necessary documentation as required
