Job summary

United Oil Palm Industries Sdn. Bhd. in Nibong Tebal, Penang, is seeking two Account Executives to strengthen our finance team. You will review journal entries, prepare management accounts, payroll, taxation and budgeting, and assist with audits and company secretarial tasks.

We offer a 5-day work week, annual performance-based bonuses, and annual salary reviews. Chinese language ability is a plus for liaising with suppliers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CPA/MIA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of related accounting experience (audit background preferred).
• Proven experience in monthly group consolidation is desirable.
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines with zero tolerance for delays.
• Preferably able to communicate in Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve manual journal entries and management accounts.
• Carry out payroll, taxation, and budgeting.
• Support audit, taxation, and company secretarial requirements.
• Handle banking matters and documentation.
• Prepare tax computations including deferred taxation and estimations.
• Support and guide junior accounting staff.
• Cover Account Executive duties during maternity leave or after resignation until replacement.
• Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

We are strengthening our finance and accounts team and looking for passionate professionals to join us.

2 Account Executives (Pay Range: RM3,500 - RM4,000)

Key Responsibilities of Accountant:

Review and approve manual journal entries and management accounts.

Carry out all accounting functions, including but not limited to payroll, taxation, and budgeting.

Support all matters related to audit, taxation, and company secretarial requirements.

Handle banking-related matters and documentation.

Prepare tax computations, including deferred taxation and tax estimations.

Support and guide junior accounting staff in daily operations and professional development.

Be responsible for handling the Account Executive’s duties when required, including during maternity leave or after the Account Executive’s resignation, until a suitable replacement is appointed.

Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements of Accountant:

Certification in ACCA, CPA, MIA or equivalent is preferred.

MinimumDegree in the Accounting field or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years of working experience in a related accounting role. (Candidates with an audit background are preferred.).

Proven experience in preparing monthly group consolidation accounts is highly desirable.

Proven track record of meeting critical deadlines — including payment processing, statutory submissions, and regulatory filings — with zero tolerance for delays.

Willingness to learn.

Preferably able to communicate in Chinese to liaise with suppliers and stakeholders.
