Job summary

Tetangga Akrab Palm Oil Mill Sdn Bhd in Sarawak, Kuching, is seeking a financial professional to handle full-set accounts, including ledger updates, bank reconciliations, AP/AR, month-end close, and statutory reports.

You will prepare monthly management reports with financial analysis, maintain organized records, assist audits and tax queries, and ensure compliance with company policies. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Finance and Accounting or an equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience.
• Committed with strong sense of responsibility to meet tight deadlines.
• Team player, proactive, positive attitude, able to work independently and efficiently.
• Demonstrate integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of general accounts: update and verify ledgers, perform bank reconciliations, manage accounts payable and receivable, and month-end closing.
• Prepare monthly management reports with financial analysis.
• Maintain well-organized financial records and ensure accounting within company policies and procedures.
• Assist with audits and respond to audit queries; handle tax-related queries for year-end closing.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, IRB, and authorities on applications and related matters.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies; maintain documentation and filing system.
• Perform other duties as required by Management.

Job description

To handle and monitor full sets of general accounts of the company which includes updating and verification ledger, bank reconciliation, account payable, account receivable, month end closing, statutory report etc. with on time cut-off date.

Prepare monthly management reports accurately and timely together with the financial analysis.

To maintain well-organized and thorough financial reporting records and ensure all the accounting is perform within the company policies and procedures.

Attending to the companies’ audits including audit queries and handling of all tax related queries for timely year end closing of the companies’ accounts.

Liaison person with auditors, tax agents IRB and custom and/or relevant authorities as required including new applications (i.e GTS/SST, etc) and all related matters.

Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.

Maintain good documentation and filing system.

Follow up on any discrepancies or disputes.

To perform any other duties as required by the Management from time to time

Requirements
