Job summary

DD Group of Companies in Malaysia seeks an experienced Accountant to manage a full set of accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable, and to handle month-end closings and reporting. You will ensure compliance with MPERS, SST, and Malaysian tax regulations while preparing schedules and interacting with auditors and banks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience; construction, property development, plantation industries or audit experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of MPERS, SST and Malaysian tax regulations; e-Invoicing familiarity.
• Proficient with QNE or IFCA and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.

• Support SST submissions, tax computations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and suppliers to resolve queries; prepare audit schedules.

Job description

This role involves managing a full set of accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR). You will handle daily accounting tasks, execute month-end closing activities, prepare financial statements and reports, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and regulations.

Key responsibilities

Handle full set of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

Manage daily accounting operations such as invoice processing, staff claims, supplier payments, and account reconciliations

Execute month-end closing activities, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries

Prepare financial statements, schedules, and reports in compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines

Support SST submissions, tax computations, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Liaise with internal departments and external parties including auditors, tax agents, banks, and suppliers to resolve queries

Prepare audit schedules, and supporting documents, and resolve audit queries

Ensure proper documentation, validation, and filing of accounting records

Perform ad-hoc accounting and administrative duties as assigned

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3–5 years of relevant accounting experience (experience in construction, property development, plantation industries or audit is an added advantage)

Good knowledge of MPERS, SST, and Malaysian tax regulations

Familiar with e-Invoicing requirements

Proficient in accounting software such as QNE or IFCA, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel – VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)

Good command of English, and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken)

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Able to work independently and as part of a team
