Job summary

Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records (GL, journal entries, reconciliations).
• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner.
• Preparing financial statements in line with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conducting monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Managing AR functions including invoicing, collections, and credit management.
• Assisting with budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis for management decisions.

About the role

Atas Frozen Marketing Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Puchong, Selangor, this role is pivotal to maintaining the financial health and compliance of our organisation. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis, and upholding the highest standards of accounting practices. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic sales-focused organisation where your financial expertise will directly contribute to our business growth and operational success.

Key responsibilities

Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations

Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely and efficient manner

Preparing financial statements and reports in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies

Managing the accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections, and credit management

Assisting with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support management decision-making

Ensuring compliance with tax obligations, including the preparation and filing of tax returns and documentation

Providing financial support to the sales and operations teams to enable informed business decisions

Maintaining detailed records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements

Assisting with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and clarifications

What we're looking for

Professional accounting qualification (such as ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent recognised certification) or working towards such qualification

Proven experience working as an Accountant, preferably in a sales-oriented or commercial environment

Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Sound knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations, GST/SST compliance, and financial reporting standards

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies

Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and internal audit procedures

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
