Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, ledgers, and journals in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Conduct budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis to monitor departmental spending and financial performance.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial reports.
• Analyse financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations for improved efficiency.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and reports for internal stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CA, or equivalent) / MIA member
• Minimum 5 years of experience in management accounting, budgeting, or a similar accounting role
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Knowledge of the distribution or retail industry is advantageous
