The Account Manager will generate profitable sales revenue, expand account coverage, and increase operating margins by providing total industrial solution packages to target commercial clients.
This role manages the complete consultative sales lifecycle—from prospecting new corporate accounts and delivering technical product presentations to negotiating commercial contracts, facilitating pre- and post-sales technical support, and managing project financial metrics (P&L, gross margins, overhead costs). You will work closely with cross-functional supply chain, sales support, and engineering teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and long-term client retention.
Revenue Generation & Commercial Execution
- Sales Performance: Achieve set revenue, margin, and operating income targets within assigned industry sectors.
- Client Acquisition & Visits: Conduct on-site meetings with prospective customers to understand technical requirements, present solution packages, and secure new orders.
- Contract Negotiations: Negotiate tender terms, pricing, and contract conditions; prepare formal commercial proposals, quotations, and sales agreements.
Technical Support & Customer Management
- Technical Presentations: Prepare and deliver technical solutions, product demonstrations, and application training for client engineering and procurement teams.
- Pre- & After-Sales Service: Provide continuous pre-sales technical assistance and post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term account retention.
- Industry Events: Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, and regional industry events to build new prospective lead channels.
Financial Oversight & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Financial Metric Tracking: Analyze sales costs, project financials, gross margins, and revenue allocations to maximize overall profit and loss (P&L) contribution.
- Operations Alignment: Partner closely with project engineers, supply chain management, sales support, and order fulfillment teams to manage delivery execution and lead times.
- Analytics & Reporting: Maintain accurate client account records and generate routine sales forecasting and performance reports.
Requirements
- Academic Background: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Sales Track Record: At least 3 years of hands-on sales experience selling technical/industrial products in a B2B context.
- Domain Knowledge: Product familiarity with air compressors, pneumatic systems, or industrial control systems is strongly advantageous. Experience with related products (valves, Pumps, rotating equipment, etc) is considered.
- Financial Acumen: Practical understanding of commercial financial metrics, including margin analysis, revenue tracking, overhead cost allocation, project financials, and overall P&L.
