Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Malaysia seeks a results-driven sales professional based in Butterworth to grow profitable revenue by broadening sales coverage, establishing new accounts, and delivering total solutions to customers. You will maintain close relationships with clients in assigned industries while coordinating with internal teams for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of sales experience selling industrial products.
• Knowledge of air compressor and control systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Own vehicle is required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets for the assigned area.
• Negotiate tenders, contract terms, and sales agreements.
• Visit and meet prospective customers to solicit orders and provide service.
• Prepare sales reports, analyze costs and revenues, and maintain client accounts.
• Provide pre-sales technical support, product training, and after-sales support.
• Prepare demonstrations and technical presentations for customers.
• Attend trade shows, conferences, and marketing events.
• Collaborate with supply chain, sales support, and project engineers.

Job description

The successful incumbent will be based in Butterworth and is accountable to generate profitable sales revenue and increase operating income by broadening sales coverage, establishing new accounts, and providing total solutions to customers. To maintain close relationship with the customers in assigned industries.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales target set for area of responsibilities.
• Negotiation on tender, contract terms and condition and preparation of Sales contract.
• Visit and meet prospective customers in assigned industries to provide required services and solicit for orders.
• Prepare sales report, analyzing cost and sales, quotations and maintaining and creating new client accounts.
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance, product training and after-sales support.
• Prepare demonstration and technical presentations to customer.
• Attending trade shows, conferences, marketing, and other events.
• Work closely with supply chain management, sales support and project engineer and order fulfillment team.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years sales experience selling industrial products.
• Product knowledge of air compressor & control system will be advantageous.
• Strong team player who is self-motivated and customer oriented.
• Work independently, process good communication and strong presentation skills.
• Understanding of financial metrics including margin, revenue, overhead costs, Profit and Loss, and Project Financials.
• Excellent communications/human relations skills (written, verbal, client service).
• Possess own vehicle.
