Job summary

Worldwide Holdings Berhad in Shah Alam is seeking an experienced Accountant to handle full sets of accounts for subsidiary companies in the property sector, ensuring accurate financial management and timely reporting.

You will collaborate with SBUs and other departments to prepare budgets, cash flows, and statutory financial statements, while monitoring PPE, inventories, and tax compliance in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a relevant professional certification.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the property development industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, and accounting software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts for subsidiary companies under the property sector, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.

• Liaise with external auditors on statutory audits and the preparation of audited financial statements.

• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely collection and accurate processing of payments.
• Maintain integrity and accuracy of financial data and practices.

Job description

• Handle full sets of accounts for subsidiary companies under the property sector, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.
• Collaborate with the respective Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and other departments in the preparation of budgets.
• Prepare timely financial reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts to support business operations and management decision-making.
• Liaise with external auditors on statutory audits and the preparation of audited financial statements.
• Monitor the Company's property, plant and equipment (PPE), investment properties, and inventories.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and indirect tax requirements.
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables and accurate processing of payments.
• Ensure all accounting practices are in line with current standards and procedures, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management from time to time.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a relevant professional certification.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the property development industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, and accounting software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations will be an added advantage.
