We are seeking a professionally qualified, experienced Senior Accounts Executive to take ownership of the accounting function for a portfolio of companies across property, car park management and other sectors within the Group.
This is a senior, independent role for someone who can manage full sets of accounts, drive monthly closing and reconciliations, coordinate audit and tax matters, and strengthen accounting controls and reporting with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Handle full sets of accounts for assigned Group companies, from transaction recording through to month-end close.
Perform monthly closing, prepare financial and management reports, and carry out bank, receivable, payable, intercompany and balance-sheet reconciliations.
Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting schedules, and ensure transactions are properly recorded.
Prepare audit and tax schedules, and coordinate directly with external auditors and tax agents.
Ensure compliance with SST, e-Invoice and other applicable statutory requirements.
Support the Group's transition to digital-first accounting records and filing.
Strengthen accounting processes, reconciliations and internal controls, and identify unusual balances or control weaknesses for management attention.
Carry out other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MICPA or equivalent is required.
At least five years of relevant accounting experience, including full sets of accounts handled independently.
Experience managing multiple companies or business entities preferred.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting, audit, tax and statutory requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with UBS or similar accounting software.
Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience coordinating directly with auditors and tax agents.
Able to work independently, manage competing deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
Experience in property, rental, hospitality, tourism or related industries would be an advantage.
