Job summary

Hotel Seri Malaysia Ipoh is seeking a dynamic Purchasing Officer to oversee the sourcing of goods, raw materials, equipment and operational supplies across all hotel departments. You will manage supplier quotations, evaluate price and quality, and ensure purchases align with the budget and procurement policies.

In this role you will process purchase orders, monitor stock levels, verify received goods, and maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier data.

Responsibilities

• Manage the purchasing of goods, raw materials, equipment and operational supplies required by all hotel departments.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and compare prices, quality and product specifications.
• Ensure all purchases comply with the company's procurement policies, procedures and approved budget.
• Ensure all goods received meet the required quantity, quality and specifications.
• Prepare Purchase Orders (PO), purchasing records and other related documentation.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure sufficient supplies are available for daily hotel operations.
• Maintain good relationships and communicate effectively with suppliers.
• Maintain proper records of purchases, invoices and supplier information.
• Monitor and control purchasing costs without compromising product and service quality.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
