Job summary

SDS Group Berhad is seeking an accountable and proactive Finance professional to handle end-to-end accounting tasks in Johor Bahru. You will manage AR/AP, process invoices and month-end transactions, and independently maintain accurate financial records.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 2 years of experience, strong organization, and effective communication with internal and external parties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of related accounting experience.
• Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.
• Handle a full set of accounts independently.
• Process and reconcile invoices, billings, cash receipts, vendor statements and journal vouchers.
• Monitor debtor aging and follow up on overdue accounts.

Job description

• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions
• Handle a full set of accounts independently
• Process and reconcile accounting documents such as invoices, billings, cash receipts, vendor statements, and journal vouchers
• Monitoring debtor aging & follow up on overdue accounts.
• Perform debtor reconciliation and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Assists on month end closing process.
• Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by management

Job Requirements:-

Candidate must possess Bachelor of Degree in Accounting or equivalent with minimum 2 years working experiences in related fields.

Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently without daily supervision and constant instructions.

Excellent in task planning and time management, able to arrange daily workload systematically.

Well-organized, meticulous and structured in all accounting and admin work.

Possess good communication skills, able to communicate smoothly with internal and external parties.

Proactive in problem solving: able to identify issues and independents to resolve it and escalateto superior.
