Job summary

Multrans Global Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our growing team in Selangor. This full-time, office-based role offers an opportunity to contribute to accurate financial reporting and robust internal controls.

You will prepare financial statements, perform bank reconciliations, manage payables/receivables, assist with tax filings, and support monthly close while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
• Proficient in accounting software, spreadsheets and other finance tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities; able to work collaboratively.
• Proactive, organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements including balance sheets and income statements.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Process accounts payable and receivable with timely payments and collections.
• Prepare and submit tax filings and other regulatory reports.
• Support implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist with ad-hoc accounting and finance tasks as required.
