Job summary

Pioneer Coachbuilders Sdn Bhd is seeking an accounting assistant to support daily financial operations in Port Klang, Malaysia.

You will handle payables, receivables, reconciliations and ledgers, update journals, and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. This role offers immediate start for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• At least SPM or Diploma in Finance/Accountancy.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work in Telok Gong, Port Klang.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily accounting activities including payables, receivables, reconciliations and ledgers.
• Update journals, ledgers and records detailing financial transactions.
• Ensure accounting records comply with company policies, accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Conduct credit checks on new customers and resolve invoice payment issues.
• Report outstanding issues to management and flag debtor problems.
• Assist on audit and tax matters.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for assist daily accounting activities including account payables, account receivables, reconciliations and general ledgers.
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g, disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable)
- To ensure accounting records and systems are complied with the company's policies, accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Conducting credit checks on new customers, resolving problems in relation to invoice payments, and reconciling complex month-end accounts.
- Report to management on outstanding issues, whilst highlighting potential debtor problems.
- Assist on audit and tax related matters
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior.

REQUIREMENTS

- Candidate must possess at least SPM, Diploma in Finance/ Accountancy or equivalent.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Can start work immediately will be added advantages.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Telok Gong, Port Klang.
