Job summary

LWE Engineering Sdn Bhd in Penang invites applications for an accounting role. The candidate will manage a full set of accounts including AR, AP, and staff claims, and support monthly closings. The position requires attention to compliance, asset management, insurance records, and SST submissions.

The successful candidate will assist in audits, stock counts, and handle ad-hoc duties, with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting. Immediate joiner preferred or notice period under 2 months.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting is required.
• 2–3 years of related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; SQL Accounting knowledge is a plus.
• Prior audit knowledge is advantageous.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle a full set of accounts including AR, AP, and staff claims.
• Assist in monthly closing and prepare closing reports.
• Prepare and submit e-Invoices, including self-billed and consolidated versions.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register with additions, disposals, and verification.
• Administer and maintain insurance records and claims.
• Assist in SST returns and ensure SST compliance.
• Maintain accounting records, supporting documents and filing systems.
• Participate in stock counts and related reconciliations.
• Manage rental properties and liaise with authorities on regulatory matters.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as directed by Management.

Job description

Responsibilities

• 1. To perform daily accounting operations, handling a complete set of accounts including AR, AP, Staff Claim & etc
• 2. To assist Accounts Executive in monthly closing and prepare closing reports.
• 3. To prepare and submit e-Invoices, including self-billed and consolidated e-Invoices, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• 5. To maintain and update the Company's Fixed Asset Register, including asset additions, disposals, and periodic verification.
• 6. To administer and maintain insurance records, including policy renewals, claims, and related documentation.
• 7. To assist in the preparation and submission of SST returns and ensure compliance with SST regulations.
• 8. To ensure proper maintenance of accounting records, supporting documents, and filing systems.
• 9. To participate in periodic stock count activities and related reconciliations.
• 10. To manage company rental properties and liaise with relevant authorities on property and regulatory matters.
• 11. To perform any ad-hoc duties and assignments as directed by Management from time to time

Requirements

• 1. Must possess at least a Diploma, Degree qualification in accounting.
• 2. At least 2-3 years of working experience in the related position.
• 3. Required Skill(s): Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word & Outlook) and knowledge in SQL Accounting software will be an added advantage.
• 4. Prior audit knowledge will be an added advantage.
• 5. Multi-tasking, high commitment and a strong sense of urgency towards deadlines.
• 6. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• 7. Pleasant personality and able to communicate and cooperate with others.
