Job summary

Amazon is seeking Transportation Area Managers to work throughout Mexico. The Transportation Operations Management (TOM) team oversees yard operations at multiple sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellent customer experience.

You will lead a team, plan yard capacity, and drive improvements in line with company standards. You will supervise operations, manage compliance with WHS and environmental regulations, and push for performance gains through Lean techniques.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team focused on yard operations, aligning Fulfillment Center operation with transportation execution.
• Plan and manage yard capacity and trailer pool for designated site.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
• Drive high safety standards for all yard operations, ensuring safe work environment for Amazon and non‑Amazon workers.
• Audit and ensure compliance to all standard work, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and environmental regulations.
• Meet and exceed operational goals.
• Own area performance metrics and communicate them to TOM and site leadership.
