Jobtailor in Querétaro, Mexico is seeking an experienced application engineering and proposal specialist to drive technical and commercial deals in industrial control systems. You will lead quoting for standard and complex controls, develop tailored system solutions, and guide customers and partners through the ITO process.

This role requires strong cost estimation, risk management, and written/oral communication, with a Bachelor's in Engineering and 2+ years in design or field service.

Formación

• Bachelor of Engineering degree with minimum 2 years' experience in application/design and/or field service in industrial control systems.
• Some experience in Unit Control (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Aero, Hydro or Nuclear), DCS, Generator, HMI, Cyber.
• Effective use of PC technologies and quoting tools (Salesforce, CPQ, etc.).
• Fluent English communication skills and commercial/contractual expertise.
• Experience in developing and writing specifications and/or proposals.
• Creative solution and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Review and influence customer specification, drawings, RFP, RFQ and develop table of compliance (TOC).
• Act as the deal focal point and provide application engineering guidance to customers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead quoting for Standard and Complex Controls offerings.
• Develop tailored control system solutions using quoting tools, technical libraries, system configurations, hardware, and design standards.
• Ensure accurate cost estimation and manage technical, execution, and commercial risks within the ITO process.
• Coordinate with supply chain and third-party providers to obtain quotations for extended project scope.
• Work with sales and pricing teams to develop competitive deal-winning pricing and strategy.
• Consolidate deal financials and present deals to the commercial review board for approvals.
• Manage tender schedules, internal approvals, bid submission, and readiness for order booking.
• Lead techno-commercial proposal generation and participate in customer meetings, negotiations, and presentations.
• Own project handover from ITO to OTR phase and execution team upon PO/contract signature.
• Attend technical and commercial trainings and contribute to process improvements.
