Job summary

Atomic Hr is seeking a Technical SEO Lead to manage a portfolio of higher education and nonprofit partner sites. You will own technical audits, write developer-ready specs, and drive improvements in crawlability, indexing, and structured data while enabling AI-powered search workflows.

You'll design Claude-based tools, automate workflows, and scale the SEO service across multiple accounts, collaborating with the SEO Lead and Executive Director of SEO to deliver measurable growth for clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO, ideally at an agency or across multiple sites
• Track record of uncovering high-impact issues and driving fixes
• Deep hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress: themes, plugins, redirects, and schema
• Advanced, hands-on experience with Claude, including building agents and AI-assisted workflows
• Clear written communication and ability to write actionable specs for developers
• Comfort owning outcomes across many accounts simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
• Prioritize issues by impact and effort, defend those calls
• Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams, then follow through until fixes are released and verified
• Handle light WordPress implementation: titles, meta descriptions, plugin redirects, and schema
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 to catch drops, errors, indexing problems
• Own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO): crawler access, structured data, entity optimization
• Design and build Claude-based tools, agents, and workflows for audits, prioritization, reporting, and QA
• Build content production systems converting briefs into near-publish-ready drafts
• Translate team standards into reusable systems
• Connect Search Console, GA4, crawl exports, Ahrefs/Semrush into workflows
• Document systems, train the team, measure time saved and results, retire unused systems
• Act as go-to resource on technical questions
• Join client calls for deep technical topics
• Evaluate emerging search technologies and recommend tools and workflows
