Job summary

Atomic - Remote Jobs is seeking a Technical SEO Lead to spearhead technical SEO across a portfolio of higher education and nonprofit partner accounts. You will identify ranking-impacting issues, write developer-ready specs, and verify fixes, while also building Claude-based tools and workflows to automate audits, reporting, and QA.

You will work with the SEO Lead and report to the Executive Director of SEO, owning outcomes across multiple accounts and guiding the team on AI-driven search

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO
• Track record of surfacing highest-impact issues and fixing them
• Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs/Semrush
• Strong WordPress knowledge to spec fixes precisely
• Experience building Claude-based tools and AI-assisted workflows
• Clear written communication capable of detailing specs and client-facing recommendations

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts and defend prioritizations
• Write developer-ready specs and follow through to fixes
• Perform technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and structured data
• Build Claude-based tools and workflows to automate audits, reporting, and QA
