Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a Sustaining Engineer to lead engineering on the shopfloor, supporting the full lifecycle of HVAC and pressure vessel products. You will resolve issues, drive improvements, and implement cost-saving changes across cross-functional teams.

You will analyze production data, develop validation plans, and ensure traceability of changes while maintaining quality and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Advanced English proficiency for global cross-functional communication.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration fundamentals, manufacturing processes.
• Experience in sustaining engineering, product engineering, manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, BOMs, and product documentation.
• Experience with Creo, Windchill, SAP, and MS Office.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead sustaining engineering on the operations shopfloor to support product performance and lifecycle needs.
• Investigate and resolve product, manufacturing, and production issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous product improvement initiatives focused on quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost competitiveness.
• Identify, develop, and implement cost reduction and value engineering opportunities while maintaining requirements.
• Support production operations with technical leadership and engineering solutions.
• Evaluate alternative materials, components, and suppliers to improve quality and cost.
• Generate and implement sustaining engineering changes to improve reliability and cost efficiency.
• Support the product lifecycle from launch through end-of-life, including proper assembly and ongoing operations support.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and change history for traceability.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders and ensure regulatory compliance.
