Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Sustaining Engineer to lead on-the-floor technical work and guide the full product lifecycle from launch to end-of-life. You will investigate issues, drive improvements, and implement changes that enhance quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.

You will partner with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver robust solutions and sustain product performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Formación

• Advanced English proficiency for global and cross-functional communication.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration fundamentals, manufacturing processes, and engineered products.
• Experience in sustaining engineering, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or technical product support.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and product documentation.
• Experience with Creo, Windchill, SAP, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manufacturing environments.

Responsabilidades

• Lead sustaining engineering activities on the operations shopfloor to support product performance, reliability, and lifecycle needs.
• Investigate and resolve product, manufacturing, and production issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous product improvement initiatives focusing on quality, reliability, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and value engineering opportunities while maintaining performance and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership to manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operations teams on the shopfloor.
• Evaluate alternative materials, components, and suppliers to improve performance and cost competitiveness.
• Generate and implement sustaining engineering changes to improve product performance and cost efficiency.
• Support lifecycle from launch through end-of-life, including proper assembly and ongoing support.
