Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a Purchasing Supervisor in Ciénega de Flores, Nuevo León, Mexico. You will support supplier schedulers to ensure timely material delivery, monitor purchasing KPIs, participate in production meetings, and escalate issues to keep material flowing.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or 5 years in purchasing, experience with SAP and MRP, strong English, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years in purchasing/supply chain role.
• Direct buyer experience in a manufacturing environment (metal/mechanical, refrigeration, electronic or HVAC).
• Experience working with Purchasing, Planning and Production areas.
• Fluent English.
• MRP (materials requirement planning).
• Experience with SAP (preferably).

Responsibilities

• Support Suppliers Schedulers to meet purchasing KPIs and ensure on-time POs.
• Analyze MRP demand and replenish stocks to maintain coverage.
• Attend Daily Production Meetings and communicate risks or delays.
• Escalate overdue orders or unconfirmed POs to the appropriate channel.
• Monitor supplier performance and open-order reports to minimize stockouts.
• Collaborate with Warehouse and Logistics to resolve discrepancies and improve deliveries.
