Johnson Controls, Inc. in Mexico is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to support supplier schedulers and ensure materials arrive on time for manufacturing plants.

You will monitor KPIs and help production meetings communicate risks and statuses of urgent items. The role involves expediting with vendors, maintaining correct item-vendor assignments in the MRP system, and driving on-time delivery to prevent stockouts.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years in purchasing/supply chain.
• Direct buyer experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with SAP and MRP.
• Fluent English.
• Experience collaborating with Purchasing, Planning and Production.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Support Suppliers Schedulers to meet purchasing KPIs.
• Analyze MRP demand and replenish stock coverage.
• Ensure buyers place POs on time to vendors.
• Review Open Order Report and resolve vendor issues.
• Escalate suppliers with past due orders or missing confirmations.
• Communicate risks related to purchased items to Planning and Production.
• Assist buyers with escalations to Global Procurement or Regional Materials via JIRA.
• Analyze line of balances when vendors have issues.
• Analyze monthly forecasts for critical suppliers.
• Ensure forecasts are sent to suppliers monthly.
• Resolve delivery, pricing and invoicing issues with vendors.
• Monitor vendor performance and on-time delivery.
• Support cross-functional teams to improve vendor development and deliveries.
• Review inventory levels and excess/obsolete items.
