Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a proactive purchasing/supply chain professional to support supplier schedulers, analyze MRP demand, and ensure timely procurement across manufacturing areas. The role involves collaboration with planning, production, and logistics to minimize stock risks and support continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has direct buying experience in manufacturing, strong English, and solid experience with MRP and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years’ experience in purchasing/supply chain.
• Direct buyer experience in a manufacturing company (metal-mechanic, refrigeration, electronic or HVAC).
• Experience with Purchasing, Planning and Production areas.
• Fluent English.
• MRP (materials requirement planning).
• Knowledge of SAP (preferably).
• Experience in a manufacturing planning program and production sequences.
• Leadership skills.
• Proactive.

• Service attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong decision-making, analytical and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support suppliers schedulers to meet KPIs and ensure on-time material delivery.
• Analyze MRP demand and replenish stocks to ensure coverage.
• Communicate risk and status of urgent items in production meetings.
• Escalate issues with vendors and ensure POs are issued on time.
• Track Open Orders and vendor confirmations/ETAs.
• Monitor supplier performance and lead times; adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with planning, warehouse and logistics to resolve issues.
