Job summary

AMETEK, a global industrial technology leader, seeks a Purchasing Superintendent in Mexico to drive the buying plan in support of production and customer demands. You will monitor MRP/MPS, release weekly POs, and review forecasts to align supplier schedules with the plan.

Responsibilities include managing raw material flow, workload reviews, and performance assessments with buyers under the Procurement Manager's guidance. AI‑assisted productivity improvements are encouraged.

Qualifications

College degree is required.
5+ years of experience in Purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of MRP, MPS, and Kanban.
Knowledge of Oracle (preferred).
Handling software related to Windows.
Bilingual Spanish - English (preferred).
Ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision‑making, work quality, and to reduce costs.

Responsibilities

Monitors the MRP - MPS process.
Handling of ORACLE Reports.
Release PO to Supplies every week.
Review the sales forecast every 3 weeks
Reschedule orders in-out depending on the forecast
Monitors of all raw material.
Review responsibilities, workload, performance, etc.
Complete performance reviews with buyers with approval of Procurement Manager.
Support and ensure local buyers are meeting BU related procurement targets (PPV, Inventory, LCR, etc.)
