OmniOn Power in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, is seeking a Planner Buyer to ensure smooth material flow and optimize inventory for production schedules. You will manage purchasing and planning activities for BOMs and collaborate with suppliers to prevent stockouts in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role reports to Planning & Fulfillment Manager and requires 3–5 years in purchasing or supply chain, a relevant degree, and strong Excel skills. English communication is essential.

• 3 to 5 years of purchasing, materials planning, or supply chain experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in administration, engineering, or related field.
• Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working with ERP systems and proficiency in digital tools and technology.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Issue, manage, and track Purchase Orders (POs) for raw materials, electronics, and sub-assemblies.
• Negotiate delivery schedules, monitor supplier performance metrics (OTIF), and resolve related issues.
• Execute contingency plans and coordinate with alternative suppliers when primary supply chains are disrupted.
• Partner with Engineering on phase-in/phase-out of components for new product introductions or ECOs.
• Coordinate with Quality and Receiving to ensure materials meet specs and are routed correctly.

The Planner Buyer is responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of materials to support production schedules while optimizing inventory levels. This role bridges production planning and procurement, executing material requirements planning (MRP) for high-volume bills of materials (BOMs) and managing supplier relationships to prevent stockouts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position reports directly to the Planning & Fulfillment Manager and is based at our Matamoros, Tamaulipas facility.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Issue, manage, and track Purchase Orders (POs) for raw materials, electronics, and sub-assemblies.
• Negotiate delivery schedules, monitor supplier performance metrics (OTIF - On-Time In-Full), and resolve issues related to delayed shipments, quality discrepancies, or invoicing errors.
• Execute contingency plans and coordinate with alternative suppliers when primary supply chains are disrupted.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Engineering on the phase-in/phase-out (PIPO) of components for new product introductions or engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Coordinate with Quality and Receiving departments to ensure incoming materials meet specifications and are efficiently routed to the production floor or appropriate storage location.

Basic Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in administration, engineering, or related field.
• Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience working with ERP systems and proficiency in digital tools and technology.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong initiative.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills when working with cross-functional and global teams.
• Self-motivated team player capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Advanced PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
