Job summary

Watlow is seeking a Production Planner to develop and maintain production schedules that align with customer demand, inventory targets, material availability and capacity. The role collaborates with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to ensure orders are planned, prioritized and executed efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in industrial/ manufacturing/ supply chain/ operations or related field.
• Two+ years of experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain or related manufacturing role.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Hands-on experience using ERP/MRP systems to plan materials and manage production orders.
• Knowledge of scheduling, material availability, inventory management, and MRP principles.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, reporting).
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans and schedules based on demand, inventory, material availability, capacity and priorities.
• Review, prioritize and release new and pending production orders.
• Analyze MRP results and address shortages, reschedules, cancellations, expedites and excess inventory.
